• to support the preliminary clinical diagnosis of probable autoimmune encephalitis especially in case of negative or inconclusive MRI findings. The inclusion of a further whole body scan in the same session could be considered given the paraneoplastic underlying etiology of many cases autoimmune encephalitis.
